If I taught English 7, I would not teach it that much differently than Mrs. Carter taught us. The only thing I would change is that I would not grade as strictly and I would not take off as many points. Overall I liked every project that we had.
If I taught english 7 it would probably be a really boring class. I probably wouldn’t be able to think of anything really creative or fun so I’d probably just do everything out of a book. But I’d try to teach the basic aspects- vocabulary, writing, grammar. I would like to do more creative writing too.
If I taught English 7, I am not sure if I would be a good teacher. English is not my favorite subject, math is. Therefore, I do not know if I would enjoy teaching English and I also would not be an energetic teacher. Also, I do not know all of the small parts of English that a teacher needs to know. Although English is not my favorite subject, I would try to make my students enjoy my class, even if I could not teach them everything they needed to know.
If I taught English 7 I would want it to be the way it was now, with a little less homework. All of the different projects that we do would still do, but everyone would have a little more time to do them. I think I would also want a few more days that we could watch a movie or do something fun. We would take more field trips that maybe everyone would enjoy. I think it would be a great experience to be a teacher of English 7!
If I taught English 7 I don’t know what I would do. I’m not very good at English so I would most likely explain things wrong, or leave parts out. But I would love to do the book reading. Also to have class discussions about the book. I would read the book flush. I love the story line, and it seems like a great book to have a discussion about. But other than that I don’t think I would be a very good English 7 teacher.
If I taught English 7, I probably not be a very good teacher because English is not my best subject. I would, however, have fun teaching the class because I would be considered “superior” and have control without necessarily bossing people around. I would try to be as nice as possible and plan due dates accordingly.
If I taught English 7 it would be partially different from what it is now. I think I would give less writing assignments and more projects such as the poetry anthology. When grading papers I would not take off many points. Basically I like the way Ms. Carter teaches and I would probably teach the same way she does.
If I taught English 7 I would have a lot of the same activities as Mrs. Carter. I would have the moment of calm and idiom and the word of the week. I would also teach a lot of poetry because I love to write and read poetry. If I taught English 7 I would make sure that my students enjoyed every project and learned from every project. I hope I would make a good English 7 teacher.
If I taught English 7, I’m not sure what the class might be like. The way I teach would probably depend on the students. How they learn and understand concepts would be the way teach them. If I could chose a class size, I would want a small class. This way each student could have enough time to ask questions. I think teaching English 7 would be interesting.
If I taught English 7 I would have more projects instead of written assessments. I would also give students a second chance to do better on an assessment. If they got below a 80, I would tell them to study for it again, and when they seem ready and have seen me to discuss all the problems they had with the material, I would allow them to take it over. If they got a worse grade than before, I would not count it, but if they got a better score, I would either average the two grades together or I would delete the old grade and put the new grade into my grade book.
If I were to teach English 7 there would be reading many different books. We would not be doing many vocabulary or grammar lessons. We would mix most of the lessons with Mr. McCarthy’s lesson. The books would be all non-fiction books. We would do a couple of projects through the year to get the grades up and there would be no homework.
If I taught English 7 my classes would be different depending on the day. Toward the beginning of the week the classes would be more writing and some type of vocabulary lesson. At the end of the week I would probably do grammar and reading. Before every class I would have a five minute break when everyone is in the class to just get settled in. After every class I would have a question of the day.
If I taught English 7, I would paint my classroom a neon rainbow. I would also give cookies that have smiley faces on them to all of my students on the first and last day of school. I would also require everyone to come in the classroom with a smile. Finally, I would leave the windows open during warm weather to let the sunshine warm the room, and I would have a snowman sitting on the windowsill during the winter.
If I was the teacher of English 7, I think I would do the same type of projects that we are doing now. Even though the poetry project was difficult, I enjoyed it very much. I also liked our study of Thoreau and our trip to Walden Pond
If I taught English 7 we would have less homework, and more projects. Our projects would have a daily check so people do not fall behind in projects. Also we would be informed when we would have a binder check.
If I taught English 7, I would not like it. I am not a fan of English and teaching it would not make me happy. It would be challenging and kind of boring. This would not be a good thing for me.
I would not want to teach English seven at Worcester Academy. I like classes that have a solid answer like science. English is very abstract. I like reading though. I would enjoy doing literature and picking books for the students to read. If I had to teach English I would not change much. For the most part I enjoy our English class.
If I taught English 7 it definitely would not be as good as it is now with Mrs. Carter. I have no idea how to teach an English class and besides I am no good at English. Let me teach a science class and it might be a different story, but teaching is not my strong point. If I had to teach I would probably just tell my students to read from a book and answer the questions. Not fun at all. you would be better of letting the students teach themselves. I am sure the class of 2015 is more than capable of doing so.
If I taught English 7, I would be grumpy. I don’t really care for English or teaching, so it’s not exactly my dream job. But if I was forced to teach English 7, I would probably use the Houghton Miffilin book for more exercises and homework assignments and I would send the class on more observation field trips. We would also write more poems.
If I taught English 7 I would make class really fun. I wouldn’t teach vocab (event though it is required), I would give them really fun projects, and I would decorate my classroom with a lot of colors and posters. I would try to make my class seem as if it wasn’t really a class. I wouldn’t want my students to dread coming to my class.
If I taught English 7 I would have recess every period. I would sleep and would not do anything. I am a 13 year old student. If I had several periods that I taught, I would use them wisely. Sleeping, playing, and doing what I want. On the last day of class I would give a random test. Everyone would fail because they would not be prepared. I would laugh and have a nice day.
If I taught English 7 I would through a big party at the end of the year that says congratulations you passed and survived English 7 and you will not do this again. I would do this to end the year on a fun note and leave them with a happy smile.
If I taught English it would be horrible. We would have break the whole time and we would play games because I stink at English. I am not very good at it, and I would probably say like the whole time, and um, which would defeat the purpose of English class. I really wouldn’t know what to do, and we would learn nothing. It would be really fun, but we wouldn’t learn anything.
IF I taught English 7 I would teach in the way that I learn best. I would do a lot of hands on activities but still teach the kids a grammar or vocab lesson. If the kids know that they are taking English Grammar and Usage next year I would try to get they ready for that as well. I would teach them the mistakes that people make everyday writing. I would do less reading in class and and more projects in classs.
If I taught English class it would be very fun. There would be no homework. No vocab quizzes. No grammar tests. No projects. No Relax and Reads. No words of the weeks. No binder checks. No literature tests. We would just talk. After all we would be talking in ENGLISH. So I guess it would be helpful. We could have a topic to talk about and just talk IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
If i taught English 7 I would try to teach my students as much as I can about English grammar usage and also teach them the common speech mistakes made although I might be a mean teacher I think I would try to analyze music, such as rap, as something fun but educational for children.lastly i think that i would not have too many tests but i would have only enough exams to understand how well i am teaching.
If I taught english 7 i would teach kids in a hands on, fun, and structured way. One thing i would do if I taught english 7 would be we would have class outside on the quad. I would play music in class all different types of music classical, R&B, rock, reggie, ext. I think if I taught english 7 I would wonder who my students would be. If I taught english 7 I think it would be a interesting experience.
If I taught English 7 I would give less homework let the students take off their ties and their shoes and just relax during class. I would have a board in my room where every student got to put one thing they wanted to learn about in english and we would get through the whole board.
If I taught English 7… I would let the independent reading assignments be on a book of your choice, instead of picking from the lists. The lists limit the choices, and most of the time, I had another book that I wanted to use instead.
If I taught English 7, I probably would not do a good job. One is that I don’t have an amazing vocabulary. An English teacher would need to know words that sound like they were made up. If I did teach it, I would not have too many rules on guidelines. I would teach grammar, literature, vocabulary, and writing. I would not have R and R.
If I taught English 7 than I would teach many of the same lessons as Mrs. Carter and would consider organization as something very important. However, I would not grade very strictly and would be fairly relaxed in class. I may not pass back papers as promptly as Mrs. Carter and would may not assign as many big projects as Mrs. Carter because it would take a long time to grade them all.
If I taught English 7 I would have the class go outside everyday. I also would have them wright I 10,000 word SA on what the most exciting thing that happened to them. This assignment would be a all year assignment. The rest of the year we would watch movies and eat pizza. I also would have them make post cards and send them to people they admire.
If i taught English 7 I would make it really fun while having everyone also be very studious. I don’t think I would make a good teacher so I’ll stay a student.
If I taught English 7 it would be really fun. We would have no tests, only small quizzes! We would go outside whenever there was hot weather and I would buy my class popsicles, once a week. I would let the kids have English games and I would do Mrs.Carter’s famous ” Brown Bag moments” I would have a homophone humor and this class would be very fun. Every seventh grader would love English class!
If I taught English 7 I would try to make it as fun as possible (not that it’s not now). I would plan out my class the night before and try to do something a little different with every class because I can imagine how tedious it might get doing the same lesson over and over. Also, I would tr to do fun projects and give a long notice before tests and quizzes. I also would want to check planners to make sure no one had an excuse for no doing homework because that must be frustrating to teachers.
If I taught English 7 I would not be very happy. I mean come on all those papers to correct it would get so annoying! I would run away. However, on the other hand I get to tell people what to do. Now that is an advantage. I guess it would be insane in my classroom because I do not know what to do.
If I taught English 7 there would be more work in class and less homework. The windows would be closed and the A.C on. There would be no queendom only a kingdom. In the first half of the class we would be working to the sweat then it will be easier. There wouldn’t be two projects at a time and if someone got a 69 i would make it 70 to raise their hopes.
If I taught English 7 I would quit. Teaching is not one of my goals to do in life. It would not be fair to the students as well, because I think I would be a horrible teacher. I think that if I HAD to teach English 7 I would not enjoy it. I would especially not like correcting papers. I would get tired of teaching the same curriculum year after year after year. For example, you said you have read “Out of the Dust” many many times. I would not enjoy that.
If I taught English I would make everything fun. I would have games almost everyday. The quiz’s would be only on things that the kids didn’t know. I would have a brown bag moment everyday. English class would be fun and everyone would love me.
If I taught English 7 I would do creative and artistic projects like the poetry anthology. Creative projects are a good way for students to express their feelings. I would also use fun, interactive examples to stimulate the students’ brains and include them in discussions. For homework, I would assign reasonable amounts that require more thinking and less finding the answer in something the students read. This would encourage students to ask questions and learn more on the subject. I would assign several essays or reports but let the students have plenty of time to complete them. For in-class reading there would be classics like “Animal Farm” by George Orwell because it prompts discussion. No offense meant to Mrs. Carter, but I probably would not do a response packet for a reading assignment. My curriculum would be based upon creativity and fun. The goal would be to involve everyone and get them interested in the English language.
If I taught English 7, I would still like to do many of the things that Mrs. Carter does. For example, homophone humor is always fun and a good way to learn new words. Also, I would still do idioms for the same reason. Another thing that I would do the same as Mrs. Carter is brown bag moments, because it gives students something to look forward to. One thing that I would do differently is the worksheets. I think that people learn more when they do more memorable activities, such as when we outside to write poetry. So, I would do more hands on activities and working in groups. There are a few things that I would change, but many things that I would keep the same if I taught English 7.
If I taught English 7, I have no idea of how or what I would do! I am not the best teacher in the World. I do love kids and I like the subject, English. I suppose I would teach like Mrs. Carter because I think her class is really fun and I love the Homophone Humor and the sentences with the idioms in it. No, I wouldn’t take points off for not bringing a red or green pen to class but I would still have them correct their work in a different color.
